How to use these Toyota schedules

Each model page has the full mileage table from Toyota's guide, the severe-use extras, and a picker that tells you what was due at your last milestone and what comes next. Intervals are listed in miles with the matching months, and Toyota says to follow whichever comes first.

What Toyota's guides have in common

The Toyota guides read here share one structure. Maintenance is listed every 5,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. Each visit checks fluid levels and wiper blades, rotates the tires and looks at the brakes. Oil and filter changes come every 10,000 miles, and the fuller inspection list (ball joints, brake lines, driveshaft boots, steering, exhaust, radiator) comes every 15,000 miles. Cabin and engine air filters are replaced every 30,000 miles, engine coolant first at 100,000 miles and spark plugs at 120,000 miles.

Each guide also prints extra services for special operating conditions: dirt roads, towing or heavy loads, short trips in freezing weather, and heavy idling. Those extras mostly bring the oil change forward to every 5,000 miles. The model pages show them under the mileage they belong to.

Where a page covers a model year, it says so. The Toyota booklet changes between years, so we read one year's booklet at a time and label each page with the year it came from.
