Normal versus severe use

Subaru's guide separates a normal schedule from extra services for severe or special operating conditions. The extras are not optional add-ons for everyone. Perform them only if most of your driving is under the condition listed. Occasional dirt roads or one towing trip do not count.

Engine coolant: the booklet says to replace it after the first 11 years or 137,500 miles, then every six years or 75,000 miles. That is past the last mileage in the table, so it has no row here.
Severe use also moves CVT fluid replacement to every 24,855 miles (40,000 km), where the booklet says it applies.
The booklet prints one grid for every 2024 Subaru. Rows that do not apply to this model (BRZ-only items, and manual transmission items where the model has no manual) are left out.
Past 120,000 miles the booklet says to return to the second column (12,000 miles) and add 120,000 miles to each heading.
